What to Expect During an Adult ADHD Assessment
Updated: 4 days ago
ADHD Assessments
A structured ADHD assessment brings together information about current experiences, developmental history and everyday functioning.

Before your first appointment
Once you have decided to go ahead with an ADHD assessment you will be sent questionnaires to complete before your first appointment. The questionnaires help gather information about your experiences and use validated, reliable measures.
The assessment appointments
Your first appointment will then be a clinical interview. Following this, I will have a conversation with someone who knew you in childhood. Please do not worry if you do not have someone available for this part; the assessment can still be carried out.

Results and your report
We will have a final meeting to discuss the results of your assessment and a treatment plan moving forward, including recommendations and signposting tailored to any areas of difficulty identified. You will receive a report detailing the assessment and its results
